Who Knew What You Risked When Marketing on Facebook?
by: Cynti Oshin

We have many clients who use Facebook as one of multiple options in their marketing tool kit. Indeed, Stanton & Everybody does. However, there are advertisers who use this as their one and only avenue to get their message out. iMedia warns this could be a very risky endeavor. The question posed is - can you afford not to be on Facebook? Probably not, but you ought to understand the risks:
* The fate of your company's Facebook page is in the hands of the person who added it -- that's extremely short-sighted
* When Facebook changes its application programming interface, you have to reprogram yours
* There is no publicly available support at Facebook, regardless of how much money you have spent with the company
* Almost everything you invest in Facebook could be lost -- today
Read Douglas Karr's article to get his perspective on the 'dark' side of using Facebook as your one and only advertising venue.
