Vitamin Water has developed a creative bus ad, that allows you to charge your phone while you wait. The popular beverage company features bus ads throughout select city bus stations in New York, LA, Chicago and Boston with powered up USB ports. The ad reads, "Alternative Energy Source" which attributes to the brands new Vitamin Water Energy drink for their current "You're Up" advertising campaign. The functionality and convenience of the transit ports allow users to not only charge their phone and to tell others about their experience, but hopefully also serves as a mental sticky note to buy the beverage. What other advertisers have you seen grab the attention of the consumer by giving away something free, that isn’t a product?
