Movie rental trends have changed drastically in recent years. Consumers have adapted quickly to brands like the online resource Netflix and the likes of Redbox on every corner for their movie rental needs, leaving the once behemoth Blockbuster filing for bankruptcy. However, the missing piece in the movie market is in fact video games.Redbox focused on this growing trend through the video game subscription service, GameFly which offers 7,000 titles for a monthly fee. As DVD's can also be streamed on services like Netflix, many wonder if video games are next for the company. Or will consumers pay the $2 a night rental for a video game at their local Redbox? This is a trend many brands are capitalizing on at the moment, it will be interesting to see who ranks on top. What are your thoughts?
