Doing Well While Doing Good

By: Cynti Oshin
Director of Client Services and Business Development

I have had the good fortune to work with several organizations who have a deep commitment to building a strong business while serving a greater good: Starbucks, REI, NBBJ Architecture, The National Credit Union Foundation and more. An increasing number of companies have brought corporate social responsibility into focus.
Back in April, Ad Age highlighted 10 of the best:

-Burt’s Bees
-GE
-Method Cleaning Products
-The Body Shop
-Starbucks
-Ben & Jerry’s
-Kenneth Cole
-Pedigree
-Toms Shoes
-Whole Foods

Our client, Northside, a manufacturer of trail shoes for the whole family, embraces the philosophy of ‘doing well while doing good’. While our purpose has been to help them develop a clear brand strategy, identify how to bring this new brand into the market place with the most effective marketing and advertising possible, we are also here to help them bring to fruition their desire to leverage the assets of Northside to serve the communities in which they do business. They have shoes. There are those who cannot afford shoes, any shoes, and they can help.

We salute Northside in their quest to ‘do well while doing good’ and look forward to sharing the ways they found to do so.
