Lisa Dahlby, Project Manager/Stanton & Everybody
I was driving from Ballard back to downtown last night and saw some of the best use of outdoor I have in recent memory. The new Alaska Air campaign promoting their non-stop flights from Seattle to Houston/Atlanta/Austin are clean, bold and easily understood. The billboards and transit are the same and each feature a Seattle icon on the left vs one from the destination city featured on the right. For example, Seattle to Houston has a yellow rain boot for us and a cowboy boot for Houston. Seattle to Atlanta has a red apple and a peach. Simple, clean, obvious.
So often, outdoor is crowded, dark and really hard to comprehend while zooming by at 35 to 65 mph. And with everything else a driver is distracted by in her car, you certainly don't have much time to hold her attention. It's also nice to see strong creative done right here in Seattle. I think this market gets ignored sometimes and work is taken elsewhere.
And a shout out to the media team too, nice placement down 15th. They build on one another perfectly.
*** I have yet to see the Seattle to Austin one. Anyone know what the icons are?

Mobile Marketing to reach young men....

Lisa Dahlby, Project Manager/Stanton & Everybody
In Kmart's attempt to reach young African American male teenagers to promote their new line of affordable basketball shoes, the agency focused solely on using two types of advertising in correlation with one another: Text Messaging and Public Transit advertising.
The subway and bus campaign encouraged young males to text the brand name to a short code in order to receive more information and a link to the website for the shoes. This demo isn't watching as much TV as might be expected, so the campaign focused solely on out of home advertising efforts. The shoe price combined with getting the message in the hands of the intended consumer made this a success for Kmart.

Our Word Cloud

Lisa Dahlby--Account Coordinator/Project Manager- Stanton & Everybody
I was so intrigued by the Starbucks word cloud, I did one for Stanton & Everybody. I took every word from our website and our own brand belief document and compiled them. This is who we are in words.
Pretty neat, huh?
Want to do it for your company? Use a document/transcript/website that represents you. Maybe your brand strategy, a collection of responses from clients, the transcript from the last quarter meeting, etc. Head to www.wordle.net and click on Create. It's free.
Which word was most dominant in your word cloud? Were you surprised?

Beautiful equipment, huh? And Green. They pioneered the Eco-Powr treadmill, the only treadmill on the market that uses 32% less energy than a traditional treadmill motor. (above right)
