The First Virtual Retail Store

As technology continues to advance, so does innovation. Innovation is nothing new to Korea, as they've developed the first virtual store for consumers. The Homplus virtual store has taken close note on the advancement of consumer habits and the vital role smartphones play in the process. The fourth generation retail store works by scanning the product's QR code and making an instant purchase directly from your smartphone. A major benefit includes being able to purchase your product outside the store, at either a subway station or by simply scanning the products QR code and having it delivered. Delivery fees range on the hour of the day, but each store makes deliveries every two hours, so you're guaranteed same day delivery. While the number of smartphone users continue to increase, so do the number of downloads for the virtual store app. Do you think virtual retail stores would survive in the United States?
