Barrier Motors TV

By: Rick Stanton, Creative Director / Managing Partner, Stanton & Everybody Advertising + Design

We just put the wraps on a two-day shoot for Barrier Motors.
I got to work with some great old friends who go back to the Kaye Smith glory days,
when people actually shot TV commercials around here.
There are a couple of things to consider when shooting cars, especially on a set.
Next to jewelry, they are near impossible to light. Why you ask?
Glass, chrome and painted metal, that’s why.
As a result there is a lot of hurry up and wait in order to get it just right.
But with Chris Bell behind the camera the quality is national in the look and the results were well worth the fussiness needed to address all those surfaces.
Kudos to Michael Vena, the managing partner at Barrier, great client and good friend, for letting us take the gloves off and bring some spunk to the campaign.
Compare these ads to anything else in the category in this market.
There’s a reason why the Barrier brand is the most successful automobile dealer group in the region.
I welcome your thoughts.

Shoot photos by Chris Bell here. We will be posting the final spots at 1:30 today. Check back!
