Sign Language Transmitted Via Cell Phone At UW

New tests are being done at the University of Washington to transmit sign language via cell phones. The MobileASL is now taking advantage of the video conferencing feature cell phone carriers now supply. UW students in the program are using the MobileASL to test all the features. The face to face ability and motion detection allows people to speak through their phone, not just text. Watch the video to see how it works.
